Facilities
Mamusa Local Municipality has five operational Libraries which are situated as follows:
- Amalia,
- Ipelegeng,
- Migdol,
- Glaudina and
- Schweizer-Reneke
Opening of the Libraries
- Schweizer-Reneke Library : Monday – Friday 8:00‐17h00 , Saturday 8:00‐13:00
- Ipelegeng Library : Monday –Friday 8:00–16h:30
- Amalia Library : Monday ‐ Friday 8:00–16:30
- Migdol Library : Monday –Friday 8:00 – 16:30
Closed between 13:00 – 13:45 - Gluadina Library : Monday‐Friday 8:00‐16:30
Services:
All Libraries have electronic facility offers direct access to the collection regarding holdings, availability and shelf number.
Reader’s advisory service:
Qualified and knowledgeable information personnel are always available to answer enquiries and to provide information.
Reference service:
Apart from the comprehensive collection of reference works, the reference section also boasts a special school assignment collection. Material for assignments is also reserved in the reference section
Photocopy service:
Our libraries are offering photocopy facilities.
Book reservations:
Books and CD’s may be reserved at zero cost.
Safe keeping of documents:
Minutes of City Council meetings, white papers, budget speeches, etc. are kept in the library and are open for inspection.
Cuttings collection:
Periodicals and newspapers are perused to make relevant and topical news reports available in a cuttings collection.
